Ketevan Gendzekhadze obtained her Bachelor in Biology, major Immunology from Tbilisi State University (Georgia), and Master and Doctorate in Immunology from Venezuelan Research Institute (IVIC). She has worked in Population Genetics and Transplant Immunogenetics under Dr. Zulay Layrisse and completed her postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University (California), in Dr Peter Parham's laboratory, exploring KIR diversity in Amerindian Populations. In 2009, Ketty Joined City of Hope Cancer Hospital, where she was trained as a clinical HLA lab director and currently serves as CAP/NMDP committee member for HLA.
