Donna Phelan has been in the field of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics and a member of ASHI since 1979. She has co-authored 46 papers in peer-reviewed journals, written 9 Book Chapters and presented 97 abstracts throughout her career. Donna has been very active in ASHI holding numerous positions including, Vice President of Operations and Treasurer of ASHI and Secretary/Treasurer, Commissioner, Co-Chair and Program Director of ACHI. She has received the Outstanding Technologist and Distinguished Service Award from ASHI as well. Donna continues to work part time after retirement enabling her to participate in ASHI by attending annual meetings, giving presentations and performing inspections.
