Bronwen Shaw, MD, PhD

CIBMTR, MCW

Dr. Bronwen Shaw, MD, PhD is the Chief Scientific Director of the CIBMTR at the Medical College of Wisconsin and a professor of Medicine practicing as an adult BMT/CT physician. Prior to moving to the USA, she was the Chief Medical Officer at Anthony Nolan in London, UK, and lead a research group in the institute. She has focused much of her research career on understanding the impact of donor factors on patient outcomes and contributing to donor selection algorithms. Currently she is working on exploring the efficacy and safety of strategies to expand access to transplant through the use of mismatched unrelated donors, using novel strategies, so far with very encouraging results.
