Avik is currently a postdoctoral scholar in the Hollenbach lab at University of California, San Francisco. Before this, Avik obtained his PhD in Computer Science from Tulane University in 2023. At the Hollenbach lab, he is exploring the genomic variations in the genes located on the leukocyte receptor complex (LRC) region of the chromosome 19 in human, particularly the ones that encode the leukocyte immunoglobulin-like receptors (LILR).
