Dr. Robert Frick went to Medical School at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston where he first encountered Transfusion Medicine and ended up leading to a residency in Clinical Pathology at Washington University in St. Louis. The intersection of transfusion and transplantation sparked an interest in transplant immunology. His main area of focus to date has been serological methods of HLA testing.
