After a pharmacy cursus in Nantes (France) and a residency in medical biology in Bordeaux and Strasbourg (both in France), Dr. Taupin spent two years at the Dana Farber cancer Institute of Harvard University in Boston (MA). He obtained a PhD degree from the work he performed in immunology on inflammatory cytokines of the IL6 family and on apoptosis. He then became a junior clinical biologist in immunology in Bordeaux University hospital, where he became a full professor in 2006. Dr. Taupin moved to Paris in 2015 to run the HLA laboratory created by Pr Dausset, where tissue compatibility for 25% of France transplantation activity is performed. Since 20 years, his research focuses on transplantation, rejection and anti-donor antibodies targeting HLA or other antigens.
