Dr. Katsushi Tokunaga is the Director of Genome Medical Science Project, National Center for Global Health and Medicine, and Professor Emeritus, The University of Tokyo. His research interests are HLA-disease associations, genome-wide association studies for immune-related diseases and human genome diversity. He leads large-scale whole genome sequencing projects for rare and complex diseases. He is a co-chair for 19th International HLA and Immunogenetics Workshop.
